The knowledge he gained set him on a course that was life-changing for himself, for acne sufferers, and for the industry at large. Dr. Fulton loved passing along his knowledge through teaching and mentoring. Over the years, he traveled to conventions, trade shows, and clinics to share his knowledge with skin care professionals.

Sara Fulton, who early in her career taught anatomy and physiology to nursing students at Philadelphia General Hospital, also remained a big proponent of education throughout her career. Understanding that successful treatments require a thorough understanding of process, she developed training protocols and product education for professionals using the Vivant line. She has also given seminars and written numerous articles to share her knowledge.

Recently, Sara began to recognize a need for a deeper level of training than that being offered in many of the basic aesthetic programs. It made sense that the dermatological line at the root of so many modern aesthetic practices, including bringing aestheticians into medical offices, should branch deeper into education, and so the idea of Vivant University began to take shape.
