The Totally Transformative, Completely Customizable, Utterly Indispensable ProPeel®

We’ve been hitting the road over the last year visiting skin care professionals around the country to demonstrate the transformative power of our industry-leading Progressive ProPeel® System. Aestheticians are always amazed at just how simple this peel is to perform and how astounding the results are.

It takes no longer than a facial and requires little more than just applying the different layers of solution across your client’s skin and monitoring their comfort level to get rapid, dramatic results. The average fee charged for the ProPeel® is from $250 to $500 depending on your market, making the procedure a great way to boost your income without boosting your workload.

Customize the Peel to Your Client’s Skin

One of the most exciting things about the ProPeel® (aside from the results) is the fact that it’s entirely customizable for your client’s skin. You can control the intensity by adjusting how long you leave the peel on the skin and through the number of layers you apply. This gives you the ability to personalize the peel based on your client’s Fitzpatrick and skin type.

How do you know when to make those adjustments? With each application, ask your client to rate the sensation they feel on a scale of one to ten, one being almost no burn, ten being an intense burning sensation. If your client says seven or above, or if they find the burning sensation is not subsiding within about 45 seconds, that’s a signal to reduce the timing, skip a layer, or both. For very sensitive skin or Fitzpatrick’s 3- 6, the threshold is a bit lower. In these cases, if your client says the burning sensation is a level five or above, you should skip ProPeel® Step Three, the most aggressive of the layers.

For resistant skin or skin acclimated to the standard Progressive ProPeel®, you can move up to the Extra Strength ProPeel® System. It has all the advantages of the ProPeel® in a more aggressive, deeper peel for a dramatically renewed appearance.

Both ProPeel® and Extra Strength ProPeel® are resorcinol-free and safe for Fitzpatrick’s 3-6 that have been treated with a Vivant at-home preconditioning kit for twelve to fourteen weeks (lighter tones need only 4 to 6 weeks of preconditioning).

What’s in the ProPeel® and how does it work?

The active ingredients in ProPeel® are a combination of lactic, salicylic, and citric acids plus TCA (trichloracetic acid), which is an effective peeling agent derived from vinegar. Moisturizers are also added to counteract the drying effects of the peel. These ingredients, especially TCA, denature the keratin on the top layers of skin, causing the skin to generate new cells and discard the old ones. The new, smoother cells come to the surface as old cells peel away, leaving skin looking younger and smoother.

The four-step system removes the top layers of skin stimulating new skin growth and improving surface texture and appearance. The exfoliative effect of the peel spurs new epidermal growth and collagen production with more evenly distributed melanin.

It brings radiant new skin to the surface for minimal irritation with maximum results.

What about frosting or blanching?

Both terms refer to the white and sometimes slightly puckered appearance of the skin just following the application of the ProPeel® solution. This is a good sign. It means you will get a better, cleaner peel. When the skin has been properly preconditioned with a recommended Vivant at-home system in the weeks before the peel, you will see frosting and can expect optimum results from the peel.

Advantages of Vivant’s ProPeel®
  1. Diminishes fine lines, kickstarts collagen, fades discoloration, and peels away impactions for rapid rejuvenation in every Fitzpatrick.

  2. Clients with acne will experience rapid improvement. In addition, it is easier to extract impacted pores following the peel.

  3. For clients with sun damage, the peel stimulates new collagen and increases the level of hyaluronic acid in the dermis. This accelerates skin regeneration and reduces the fine lines of aging.

  4. Minimal discomfort to your client.

  5. The active peeling stage is finished within 4-5 days, during which the client can return normal activities with a light peeling on the cheeks.

  6. The ProPeel® can be performed on all skin types and tones—dry, oily, or acneic skin types, and light to dark tones.

  7. The peel preserves the natural skin color, while improving the texture of the skin.

  8. The procedure can be performed frequently. Many clients have the ProPeel® as often as once a month.

  9. It takes no more time than a facial, but the results are more dramatic, so the client referral rate is high.

  10. The procedure is simple and brings a great ROI.
