MEET THE PROFESSIONALS:
JILL
ALAIMO
The founder of Vanity Aesthetic Spa in St. Louis, MO shares her skin care secrets, can't-miss routines and must-have products.
After spending a decade working as an aesthetician in a facial plastic surgery practice, Jill Alaimo ventured out on her own to start her skin care practice in St. Louis, MO. Her biggest challenge, aside from creating the serene space she named Vanity, was finding uber effective skin care products that didn’t require a M.D. to write a prescription. She scored big on both fronts. “What Dr. Fulton developed in his products does not require a medical doctor and I have NEVER seen such astounding improvements in any product line OTC or prescription!!! I am over the moon with Vivant,” Alaimo says.
VIVANT
INQUIRES
Jill Alaimo on skin care, her absolute must haves and the secrets to her success.
GOOD MORNING GORGEOUS!
I get out of bed and head straight to my bottle of squalane to massage into my skin on the way downstairs for my cup of coffee.
WAKE UP AND SHINE
After I massage a healthy lipid barrier back into my skin, I step into the shower and cleanse with Mandelic Acid 3-in-1 exfoliating scrub. After towel drying, I spritz a little mineral water and apply my Rejuv Rx followed by Spin Trap, Wink, Marine Skin Nourishing Cream, and finally, some SPF 50.
GLAMOUR GURU ADVICE
I talk all day every day, and it seems that the “hot topic” changes with the day! But my one consistent message is don’t skimp on skin care.
LOVE YOUR WORK
I love watching the improvement in my clients' skin as we progress. My favorite thing is when my client’s dermatologist is impressed with the improvement.
CHALLENGES?
Not enough time to accommodate all my clients. With a wait list of over 3 months, my schedule gets a little inflexible.
SKIN CARE CONVENTIONS
I wish I had more time to attend conventions. I find them to be very educational and inspiring. I love seeing what’s new and getting a chance to talk to so many smart, innovative people.
THE INTERWEBS - SOCIAL OR NO SHOW?
I have a “helper” in that department as I am not very good at social media, maybe my age is showing.
BEAUTY SLEEP
Sleep and hydration are most important, especially after 50.
MUST HAVES
EVERYTHING VIVANT. I have never seen such results with any other products in almost 20 years of professional skin care!
